Surgical Facility

One of the most important decisions you will make as you consider outpatient surgery is the choice of a surgery centre.

We are pleased to use the Valley Surgery Centre for most surgery procedures. (Occasionally, we will also use the Surrey Memorial or Langley Memorial Hospitals.) The Valley Surgery Centre was constructed in 1999 and is conveniently located on the third floor of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce building.

This facility was created to offer the highest standards of outpatient surgery care in a private and comfortable environment. This facility is fully accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgery of British Columbia and therefore must maintain the highest standards of equipment and personnel.

An important aspect of your care relates to the quality of systems in place for ensuring your safety during and after surgery. The operating and recovery rooms are equipped to hospital standards. Registered nurses who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support are with our patients during their stay in the recovery room. There are strict criteria used to determine a safe time for you to be discharged from the facility.
