• If you have excessive, wrinkled, or sagging skin in the upper lid.
• If you want to restore or create a sharper upper
  eyelid crease. A crease makes the eye look more oval-shaped and is associated with a more "Western" appearance.
• If your upper eyelid skin feels heavy or interferes with your peripheral vision.
• If the lid edge partially covers the pupil.

• A more rested and youthful appearance to the eye.

• This operation is done on an outpatient basis under light general anesthesia or sedation with local anesthesia.

• Bruising and light sensitivity will last from five to ten days.
• Swelling rapidly diminishes in one to three weeks.
• Contact lenses can usually be worn in four to six days.
• You should avoid exercise, lifting, bending over, and straining for two weeks.
